Seeking Novel Therapeutic Approaches in Oncology

BSM Biotech Holding seeks innovative discovery research projects in the oncology field, to identify novel therapeutic approaches for further development. BSM expects to form new companies in collaboration with the research teams based on their technology, either by licensing deals or transfer of the technologies to the company. 

Approaches of Interest:

• BSM Biotech Holding’s focus is the oncology space, in particular immuno-oncology, cancer stem cell therapy, epigenetic regulators and precision medicine based on genetic and/or molecular biomarkers. 
• Solid cancers are of high interest; however haematological cancers are also within scope.
• All mechanisms of actions are of interest, and any modalities including mAb’s, small molecules, ADC’s, aptamers, bi/trispecific molecules and modalities regulating gene expression.

Out of Scope:

• Cell therapy approaches. 
• Diagnostics (unless companion diagnostics), medical devices, nutrition, OTC products. 
• Repurposing and reformulation of therapeutics.

Developmental Stages of Interest:

• Target validation and hit identification are minimum requirements. 
• Preferably in vitro validation data should be obtained, evidencing that the drug functions at the molecular/cellular level.
• In vivo data indicative of efficacy and safety also desirable.
• Approaches should have at least hit molecules identified and IP filed or under preparation to be filed allowing for asset protection in USA, Europe, and Japan, as a minimum.

Opportunity for Collaboration

BSM’s experienced management team looks to in-license discovery research projects in oncology, to fund them and spin them off into separate project-focussed companies. BSM will closely collaborate with the innovators to capitalize on their know-how and technologies. Funding and support are available on a case-by-case basis, depending on the technology and development needs.
