Seeking Novel Therapeutics in Oncology and Neurology

A Canadian drug development and venture investment company with core focus on therapeutic technologies is seeking novel Canadian therapeutics in the fields of oncology and neurology. At minimum, a tool molecule showing therapeutic promise via modulation of an identified target is required as a developmental starting point. Therapeutics for other clinical indications will also be considered, provided the below criteria are met. 

Approaches of Interest: 

• Novel therapeutics available for partnering from Canadian biotech or academic organisations
• Diseases of interest include all solid tumors (e.g. breast, prostate, lung etc) and non-psychiatric neurological disorders (e.g. MND, Alzheimer’s, pain, etc)
• All modalities including (but not limited to) small molecule, biologic, RNA and novel nucleic acid delivery technologies 

Out of Scope: 

• Vaccines, novel formulations/combinations of existing drugs, drug repurposing, and AI/computational models 
• Medical devices 
• Symptomatic treatments
• Diagnostics 

Developmental Stages of Interest: 

• Opportunities from basic to late preclinical research will be considered, provided there is a minimum of in vitro proof of concept
• Opportunities at phase I and beyond are out of scope for this campaign

Submission of one-page, 200–300-word briefs is encouraged, including information pertaining to target validation, hit quality, therapeutic benefits of the target pathway and safety studies, along with any optional supplementary information e.g. relevant publications.
