Seeking Novel Druggable Targets and Drug Candidates in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

A pharmaceutical company focused on women’s health is seeking novel druggable targets and drug candidates in the area of obstetrics and gynaecology for in-licence or early collaborative opportunities. The team is interested in new compounds and targets that will provide therapeutic benefit in the area of women’s health, such as: infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome, diminished ovarian reserve, primary ovarian insufficiency, endometriosis, adenomyosis, uterine fibroid, menopause, senium, etc. 


Approaches of Interest:

  • All mechanisms of action relating to obstetrics and gynaecology are of interest with examples being anti-fibrotic effect, ovulation failure, hormone replacement and osteoporosis
  • Open to different modalities, with small molecules and peptides being of highest interest
  • Anti-fibrotic drugs that can be applied to both gynaecological and non-gynaecological conditions 
  • Research relating to novel contraceptives
  • Novel screening methods to identify novel targets are also relevant

Developmental Stages of Interest:

  • Opportunities at basic research phase to phase III are within scope
  • There is a preference for research with proof of concept
