Header

FMC is an agricultural sciences company that advances farming through innovative and sustainable crop protection technologies. FMC is looking for technologies that can encapsulate active ingredients for use in crop protection. The encapsulation technologies should allow tuneable control over the release and volatility of active ingredients and can be organic/inorganic and polymeric/non-polymeric in nature.

Approaches of Interest

  • Technologies should be biodegradable (or have a pathway to being biodegradable)
  • Encapsulation technologies that can reduce volatility of active ingredients
  • Capsules should be hydrolytically stable
  • Technologies should have low complexity and broad compatibility with a range of chemistry
  • Manufacturing should be scalable
  • Capsule sizes should be in the range of 500 nm-50 µm and have high loading of active ingredient
  • Other encapsulation technologies that are transferable to agriculture will also be considered

Developmental Stages of Interest

  • Technologies should ideally be TRL 3-6 with minimum proof of concept
  • Technologies will ideally have Freedom to Operate and applicability within agrochemicals
